CH Field Haviland Limoges Covered Cheese Plate Circa 1900 to 1940
I added the Cheese cover as it fit perfectly!
This is a unique item.
The porcelain is intact.
There are some striations and manufacturing anomalies along the sides which leads me to believe it is older rather than newer and that this plate was hand pressed.
Just a little bumpy area towards one edge.
The edges have a bumpy texture as part of the mold.
The cloche, newer obviously measures 5 1/2 inches diameter and 3 inches to inside top
It measures 41/2 inches with glass knob.
The plate is 7 1/4 inches diameter.
Perfect for a piece of delicious cheese or butter patties!
The plate has an intricate gold floral pattern
It is from CFM GOM France By CH Field Haviland Limoges Marking
Circa 1900-1940
No chips cracks or crazing
No utensil markings
A conversation piece.
The glass is clear with no apparent scratches or chips.
