Antique Porcelain Doll Pin Holder Blond Lady With Blue Fan Pink Taffetta Skirt Early 1900's Intact Original Skirt
The porcelain is intact with no chips or crazing.
This beauty of a half-doll has a fan in her hand fanning herself.
She does list to the side.
Her taffeta skirt is trimmed with a pleated ruffle and rosette trim.
The material has faded over the years but does overall appears to have gotten some use as the material appears to be mostly intact with some freying of it's edges.
The entire pin cushion measures 5 ½” tall.
The porcelain half doll by itself is 2 3/8” tall.

PLEASE NOTE
* However it was stored has pushed the doll to one side. I believe it is quite possible to offset the list by placing her in the opposite hold for a while. The sponge underneath is still quite pliable.
The pin cushion is full functioning regardless of the list.
She is absolutely Beautiful!
Most of these dolls were made in Germany with a smaller portion being made in italy England France America and of course Japan. It is impossible for me to read the base of the doll without affecting the integrity of the intact skirt. They were very popular from 1900-1930 being mostly used as pin cushions though they had other uses as well. Many of the 1920's dolls had a more "modern" appearance short hair and flapper outfits popular in their day. The victorian / Edwardian styled dolls were more popular and most probably made before the Roaring 20's.
